Project Notes

  • A natural boulder wall was created to define the setting boundaries.
  • Flowing streams were installed on a terraced section of land above the boulder wall.
  • The streams were directed into a 2-tier waterfall which created a relaxing, natural sound as the water passed over strategically-placed boulders.
  • The waterfall terminated in a newly-designed pond which was segmented into a small, shallow section and a large, deeper section, divide by a functional footbridge.
  • Additional sod and irrigation systems where installed as needed.
  • A large area of woods was re-landscaped to backfill a steep slope and create more usable area in the yard.
  • A new patio was built using a special paver stone which enhanced the natural beauty of the surrounding area.
  • Pine trees, shrubs and plants were installed around the pond and above the boulder wall to complete the look.
  • The Pond was aerated naturally by the waterfalls to support the client's Koi.
